Good Run

I went running with a friend from a former client today.  I have him on my Ragnar Relay team and we’ve been trying to hang out for a few months now.  We did 6 miles and overall I was pretty happy with it.  We finished in just about 10:00 min/mile pace.  It was a nice way to get the morning started and then we hit up a place called Smoke for a brunch afterwards. Tracking my Progress

Ok, I want to lose a litle weight.  I was down at 170 a few months back which is around where I want to be but I’ve gotten up to 180 recently.  A combination of my training going poorly and just bad eating.  So let’s get the ship righted!  I feel a lot better physically at 170…I think between 165 and 170 is my ideal weight.

Well, my training is still going forward.  I won’t say its going well until I get my times down to where I am happy with them.  Right now my 11:30 minute miles are unacceptable but not surprising.  Really a combination of 6 weeks off the road and stifling heat when I do run isn’t making it easy.  I could run in the morning when its cooler but realistically I just can’t depend on myself to wake up consistently and do it.  And I don’t want to get into work later than I am now (now being around 8 – 8:30 most days).  I’ll do a morning …

It’s official…

The Baltimore Running Festival people called me today.  They wanted to make sure I was actually coming before they added me (I’m one of the furthest travelers on the waiting list 8D ).  So I’m officially in the race!  I’m excited.  I’m so excited I’m going to go for a run now. Ok, I was going to go for a run anyway.  But I’m still excited!
